HOSTELELLA Legal documentation

News and offers: what you are agreeing to

Version 1.9 Effective 29 August 2026 Art. 6.1.a GDPR · Art. 21 LSSI-CE

This is the text HOSTELELLA shows you when you turn on "Hostelella news & offers" under Account → Preferences → Privacy and communications. We store its version and its hash alongside your decision, so you can always check exactly what you agreed to and when. It is off by default: if you do not turn it on, we do not write to you.

PurposeTo send you product news, tips, offers, event invitations and surveys about HOSTELELLA by email.
Legal basisYour consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR and Art. 21.1 LSSI-CE). It is freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, and it is not a condition for signing up or using the Service.
Data processedYour email address, your language and — so that we do not bother you with what is not useful to you — your business type, plan and general level of Service usage.
RecipientResend, Inc. as email delivery provider, under a data processing agreement. See the Sub-processors Annex.
RetentionWhile you keep the consent and for up to 5 years after you withdraw it, solely to be able to demonstrate that you gave it and that we respected it.
Your rightsAccess, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, by writing to legal@hostelella.com, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish DPA (AEPD).

5. How to withdraw it

You can turn it off as easily as you turned it on, at any time:

The opt-out takes effect immediately, including for messages already prepared. To guarantee that, we store a cryptographic fingerprint of your address (not the address in clear text) in a suppression list, which takes precedence over any prior consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of what we sent before.

Necessary emails will keep arriving. Unsubscribing from this does not affect account verification, sign-in recovery, security alerts, billing, team invitations or legal notices: they are part of the Service and are not advertising.

6. Where the full detail lives

Section 22 of the Privacy Policy sets out how we classify our communications, the legal basis of each class, the preference centre, the suppression list and delivery measurement. The Retention Policy details the periods, and the Cookies Policy covers measurement in email.
